swimming with the enemy

swimming with the enemy

Hello Wanderers!  I must apologize for not posting often, I truly am trying,  Just having some trouble keeping up with all my social media sites.  This is another not-so-horror horror mani 🙂  I love the Jason movies.  What could be more nerve wrecking than thinking your going for a late night swim under the stars and then BAM! blood in the water!  Scary stuff, I must say.  This mani took quite some time to complete.  I used 3 glitter polishes and had to let each coat COMPLETELY dry before applying more coats.  If you take your time with glitter polishes you can achive a very multi-dimensional look without any nail art.  Here we have swimming with the enemy

Process:

Apply desired base coat to protect your canvas (nails).  Once dry, apply two coats of Maybelline ColorShow in Audacious Asphalt (swatch and review to follow).  Allow to dry and follow with one generous coat of Pure Ice in Irreplaceable.  Once completely dry, apply a coat of Spolied in Ants in My Pants.  Repeat two more times.  Be sure to allow each coat to dry completely before applying next coat- you do not want your glitters to move around and clump.  After Ants in My Pants, apply one coat of Spoiled in My Saturn Broke Down to get your midnight sparkle.  Finish the look with desired top coat, I used Out The Door.  A matte top coat looks awesome over glitters btw!
